Sustainable Schools Gardening Program

The Sustainable Schools Gardening Program is an educational initiative designed to inspire the next generation of eco-conscious leaders. Taking place across various schools in Hawaii, this one-day event will provide hands-on training for students and educators on how to build, maintain, and sustain school gardens while integrating environmental awareness and sustainability into everyday learning.

???? Garden-Building Workshops – Students will get their hands dirty by planting fruits, vegetables, and native Hawaiian plants.
???? Teacher Training & Curriculum Integration – Educators will learn how to incorporate gardening and sustainability into science, health, and environmental studies.
???? Farm-to-School Connections – Discussions on how school gardens can provide fresh, healthy food for students while promoting local agriculture.
♻️ Sustainability Practices – Composting, water conservation, and eco-friendly gardening techniques will be highlighted.

This program is a free initiative aimed at empowering schools to create long-term, self-sustaining gardens that teach valuable life skills and promote environmental responsibility.
