Connecting Food Gardens Across Hawai'i

Hui Māla ʻAi, a state-wide network for food gardens, aims to improve public health by increasing access to gardening opportunities for people in Hawaiʻi, and to support food gardens that play a critical role in promoting health equity and food security.

Supporting Community-led Food Garden Initiatives

Through strategic partnerships and shared resources, Hui Māla ʻAi empowers community members and organizations to create and maintain food gardens that support health equity, food security, and sustainable urban development. This includes providing guidance on land access, volunteer engagement, and policy recommendations tailored to Hawai‘i’s unique landscape.
